Not the tajmahal or the redfort, but the ever-lasting comfort zone of a mother's lap! Living across continents in an alien land (though its been my residence for about 4years now), nothing is the same as it used to be - the things i used to do after work, the tv programs, religious festivals, the aroma of 'filter' coffee -nothing!
but the thing i miss most is the sure-shot remedy to any of the setbacks life has to offer - lying down on my mom's lap while she would run her hand thru my hair.....nothin in this world can come even a close second to offering the peace that a mom's touch would. in an era of emails, video chats, calling-card-initiated-fone calls & predominantly long-distance relationships, with all my heart, i feel that i cud trade in anything to be in my mom's embrace. nothing like a mother's touch to take all the pain away...miss u mom! SNIFF!

Enakku adhu daily kedaikkudhu :). The exact same thing you're talking about....lying down on my mom's lap and she running her hand through my hair :). Enna only difference, have a brother to beat to get to that position :)
