The best thing about the weekend before was Aruna's abhang concert. It was a spiritual experience as always, with her establishing an instant connect with the audience. For the uninitiated like me, it takes legends like M.S. and A.S. to get us listening to classical music. The evening had a mesmerizing effect on all those present and gradually towards the end all of us were chanting "vittala" with gay abandon...mind blowing!
The weekend that followed was a complete contrast. It was all about salsa and partying hard. For the first time ever, as far as I can recall, I was on the dance floor for about 3 hours without giving the "kuththu" moves. Quite an achievement I must say! Tried my hand (& legs) at Bachata, Jive and Hip hop as well.....but who cares! I had a blast :)
