Yep! yep yep! Mani(rathnam) has done it ! Watched "Guru" - the eagerly awaited take-off on Ambani's rags to riches saga - a late nite show that too...(SG shows were running housefull can u beat that?!)...So what has Mani done if the story is not "original" you ask....He has made Ash forget she is, well, ASH! Yippee! (Btw, before you jump to conclusions, i do happen to be her fan - though not for her acting abilities..atleast till now)..
So, we get to see "Sujata" in place of a former beauty queen, who has managed to match the one n only Guru bhai/Abi in most scenes...Interestingly, I got the feeling that I was seeing a "nayagan" in Guru here n there...but who cares?! The lead pair's (on-screen) chemistry is endearing - as is the case with most of the director's former releases...
As it is, i have been haunted by ARR's score for the movie, but when visuals and accostics go hand-in-glove (barso re, mayya mayya, tere bina, yemo yemo...) ...what more can one ask for?! would love to watch it once more....and take in the brilliance of the camera all over again....
As the cliched verdict goes - Go for it!

about the movie though - the jury scene when abi answers did not impress me much though...maybe i was expecting something dramatic....
