Well, here I am, trying to access wifi between classes - & desperately looking to "connect" to the outside world.....SG is not a bad place at all- you get to eat a complete indian meal (south indian at that) for S $2
It has been a rather interesting couple of weeks here so far, coz for most part i've just been apt-hunting and trying to commute to school n back without getting lost...(with urs truly u never know) Among many firsts, the one thing that is bound to be in memory for a long time to come is the image of a lipstick-donning-bermuda-clad "pookari" who gave me directions to the local bank in (thankgod) chaste tamil.....
Singlish is entertainment unlimited....phrases such as "had makan ready" "can also okay canno also okay" & "i goes" are bound to find their way into in several literary schools for critical analysis and future references...
So much for first impression(s) - will try posting a couple of snaps soon - need to come out of jet lag to do all the touristy stuff :P
